Calibration Services Technician – PAID Internship
SGS
• This position requires 80% travel throughout the Greater Boston area. • Responsible for performing in-field installation, calibration, and maintenance of continuous monitoring units at client sites. • Follow all health and safety protocols and document all field activity as outlined in the company standard operating procedures. • Commute to/from client sites and demonstrate safe defensive driving behavior and maintain a satisfactory driving record. • Provide great customer service in the field for SmartSense clients. • Field calibration of real-time indoor air quality sensors. • Reading, understanding, and traveling with system installation, calibration, and troubleshooting equipment and manuals. • Inspecting and troubleshooting systems onsite. • Use of small hand tools to perform sensor repairs and documenting field activities properly before leaving the site and uploading into central system from phone or computer daily. • Communicating unresolved issues encountered in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a science or technology field (Required)
- Associate’s degree or equivalent educational hours in a science or technology field of study (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or technology field of study (Preferred)
- Experience in an environmental or industrial hygiene laboratory (Preferred)
- Valid driver's license (Required)
- Proficient English language skills (Required)
- Excellent customer service skills (Required)
- Basic mathematical and reasoning skills (Required)
- Basic computer skills (Required)
- Travels up to 80% of the time locally (within 3 hours) (Required)
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull upwards of 50 lbs on a constant basis (Required)
