Principal Software Development Engineer – Test

• Own quality outcomes for the Reporting/BI domain across multiple scrum teams • Define platform-wide test strategy and coverage standards for reporting features • Establish and own the test condition framework derived from user stories • Hold accountability for defect resolution at the domain level • Represent quality at quarter planning, release governance, and cross-team sprint ceremonies • Own the SQL and PL/SQL validation architecture for the Reporting/BI domain • Define and govern data accuracy test strategy • Lead validation of SQL and PL/SQL changes • Set the bar for defect evidence quality • Own query performance benchmarking as a platform-level quality gate • Define and own the end-to-end report output fidelity standard for the CEM platform • Set the validation framework for Logi Analytics (Logi Symphony) implementations • Define and own the AI tooling adoption strategy for the QA & Standards organization • Own the automation investment strategy for the Reporting/BI domain • Define the security testing standard for the Reporting/BI domain • Engage at the design and architecture stage to identify security-sensitive surfaces in new reporting features • Operate as a peer-level engineering partner to Lead Engineers and Engineering Managers • Lead mentorship and talent development for Senior and Lead QEs

Job Requirements

  • 9+ years of software quality engineering experience in enterprise SaaS environments
  • Proven track record of owning quality outcomes at platform or product level
  • Expert-level Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Deep experience owning test strategy for reporting or BI systems
  • Demonstrated ability to define and govern test strategy at domain level
  • Established AI tooling practice in quality engineering
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET test frameworks
  • Security testing ownership
  • Expert-level command of JIRA and Xray
  • Experience representing quality at PI planning, release governance, and cross-functional architectural forums
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring Senior and Lead QEs
  • Strong executive communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

This role is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the testing lifecycle for Product and DDI (Design, Development, and Implementation) projects. Your role in our mission - Testing Strategy & Planning: - Define testing strategy, scope, and schedules for large-scale projects. - Apply domain knowledge of Immunization Information Systems (IIS) and public health workflows to testing approaches. - Develop and implement standard Test CoE processes, templates, and guidelines. - Plan, track, and report testing metrics regularly, taking corrective actions as needed. - Project & Resource Management: - Supervise and manage work allocation, demand management, and resource capacity. - Monitor productivity and bandwidth to ensure seamless delivery across multiple projects. - Finalize and manage training plans for project resources. - Governance & Risk Management: - Manage project scope, issues, and changes; conduct risk assessments. - Support testing risk mitigation plans and adhere to internal/external audit requirements. - Participate in test management governance meetings and ensure compliance with SLAs. - Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: - Interface with functional, regression, performance, automation, TDM, environment support, and release management teams. - Collaborate with Release Coordinators for code merges, regression testing, and risk assessments. - Synchronize with offshore Test Managers to meet delivery commitments. - Coordinate with program and project teams to align plans and incorporate feedback. - Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: - Drive root cause analysis for defects and implement defect prevention strategies. - Identify and implement best practices and efficiency improvements. - Analyze and recommend automation, performance, and test data tools/frameworks for maximum efficiency. - Delivery & Client Management: - Ensure day-to-day client management, service delivery scope, schedule, and quality. - Accountable for final QA stream delivery and adherence to SLAs. - Monitor change requests and plan testing activities for quality outcomes. - Support client interactions with a strong understanding of public health systems and data exchange requirements.
