IT SCM Technical Analyst

• Works closely with peer groups to support an assigned area or function. • Develops requirements and designs documentation along with use cases, based on user input. • Designs workflow and business processes, completes application configuration/development and creates testing strategies. • Participates as part of a team that supports planning and implementation of new systems or functions and ensures that quality application maintenance and upgrades are delivered. • Completes assigned application configuration or development deliverables, and may be asked to lead teams in the completion and testing of their assigned deliverables. • Provides, and may lead, business analysis and support services for non-production and production environments, including requirements analysis, configuration, testing, and implementation. • Answers end user requests for support, including troubleshooting, break/fix support, researching, and solving problems, and serves as an escalation point to answer end user requests. • Maintains technical data integrity by creating and executing queries, reports and/or SQL, analyzing data, and identifying system improvements. • Participates in, and may be asked to lead, regular team retrospective events with a continuous improvement mindset.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in related discipline and 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred
  • Experience in higher education field, medical, technical or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to think critically and to develop creative solutions to problems required
  • Strong communication skills, strong organizational and follow-up skills and ability to independently prioritize work required
  • Skilled in using Microsoft software, specifically Office related collaboration tools required
  • Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile, from planning through implementation required
  • Ability to provide after-hours on-call support required
  • Familiarity with Meaningful Use (ARRA) as well as HIPAA, JCAHO and other regulations preferred.

• Must have very good understanding of the healthcare payer space with a minimum experience of 10 years in the domain. • Must have a prior experience in implementing/maintenance of commercial payer claims solution and/or Medicare/Medicaid system. • Must have good experience with claims processing concepts, along with the provider, member enrolment and care management concepts. • Must have good experience in Reference code/data sets required in Claims adjudication including not limited to CPT, CDT, HCPCS, ICDs. • Must have prior experience or understanding in configuring benefits or programs in claims systems across various sub-systems. • Must be able to work with the clients to create/gather requirements and document them according to standards. • Must adhere to (or if needed, define) the processes for requirement solicitation, documentation and hand off. • Should work closely with the IT development team to elucidate the requirements, enable constructive discussions / brainstorming sessions to implement the best in class solution. • Should have basic understanding concepts like web services, relational databases etc. • Should be able to run queries and perform basic system analysis, RCA etc. • Should be able to create mapping documents for the various interfaces and include business rules, transformation and DB mapping. • Should work closely with the client and development team during the stages of development, and conduct demos at completion of milestone, track and close feedback from such demos. • Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills. Should be able to multitask between internal team and clients based on priority tasks. • Work Closely with Dev, architecture and Design teams to define the GUI view and platform requirements, which is the foundation of the product.
