Role Description The SIEM Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of the organization's Security Information and Event Management platform. - Ensures security telemetry is collected, normalized, enriched, retained, and analyzed effectively. - Develops correlation rules, dashboards, reports, use cases, and alerting logic that enable the SOC to detect threats accurately and efficiently. - Works closely with SOC analysts, threat hunters, incident responders, cloud engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure comprehensive visibility across the enterprise environment. - Responsible for maintaining platform performance, onboarding new log sources, improving detection coverage, and supporting compliance reporting requirements. Qualifications - Deep knowledge of SIEM architecture, log management, security monitoring, event correlation, detection engineering, and enterprise security operations. - Experience working with large-scale SIEM platforms, cloud security logs, endpoint telemetry, network security logs, identity systems, and threat intelligence integration. - Strong analytical and technical skills, including experience with query languages, data parsing, data normalization, use case development, and performance optimization.

Need: We are currently seeking a Geologist / Scientist with entry level experience. The ideal candidate will participate in office operations (planning, assign contractors, reporting) and execution of field operations with a focus on safety, efficiency and compliance with procedures. The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a team at Sites throughout Michigan. The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to the following: - Soil classification and sampling during drilling, test pitting and excavation activities. - Groundwater sampling utilizing a wide variety of equipment. - Coordination and supervision of drillers and other subcontractors. - Operation of various types of field equipment (e.g. GPS, data loggers, survey level, combustible gas meters, etc.). - Completion of field documentation such as activity hazard analysis (AHA) forms, project field reports, field notes, and chain-of-custody forms. - Work with Project Managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills, to ensure projects are completed on time and budget. - Tabulation/organization of field data and completion of regulatory reports for client and agency submittal. - Assist in coordination/training of field activities with other Parsons junior staff. - Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - A 4-year degree in geology, environmental science, or similar programs. - A minimum of an internship or entry level experience conducting environmental field efforts. - Knowledge of Michigan’s environmental regulations (Part 213/201/211/215). - Ability to work in a hybrid work arrangement. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a home office and project locations throughout Michigan. Ideally this position shall be located in central Michigan. - Mix of office experience (Initial Assessment Reports, Final Assessment Reports, Closure Reports, etc) and field experience (subcontractor oversight, soil/soil-vapor/GW sampling, etc) is a plus. - A valid driver’s license and the ability and willingness to travel to and from field locations in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois is required. - Should be able-bodied as the work requires some physical exertion such as extended periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; lifting; recurring bending or similar activities. - Work in adverse weather conditions (i.e. hot, cold, rain and snow). - Excellent written and oral communications skills. - Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self-sufficiently in the field or as part of a team.
