Role Description The Medical Review Case Management Nurse serves Mercy Ships by performing medical review, case management, safety initiatives, and health readiness programs. The role ensures volunteers and staff are medically fit, supported throughout their service journey, and processed appropriately through illness, injury, incidents, and return-to-service processes. - Conduct comprehensive medical reviews and assess fitness for service for volunteers, staff, contractors, and guests in accordance with organizational standards. - Review complex medical cases and collaborate with healthcare providers to support service readiness, wellness programs, chronic disease management, immunization compliance, and reasonable accommodations. - Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert on occupational health, global health, travel medicine, volunteer health screening, and related organizational policies and procedures. - Lead complex case management activities for individuals experiencing illness, injury, medical restrictions, or workplace incidents, including assessment, care planning, coordination, and follow-up. - Coordinate care and communication among healthcare providers, insurers, organizational leaders, and other stakeholders to support treatment, recovery, and return-to-service outcomes. - Manage occupational injury and workers' compensation cases from initial reporting through resolution, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and consultation on complex or high-risk claims. - Analyze claim, injury, and health trends to identify opportunities for risk reduction, injury prevention, and program improvement. - Collaborate with Hospital Quality Managers, Department Managers, and organizational leadership to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions. - Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of occupational health and safety policies, procedures, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives that promote a culture of safety and accountability. - Maintain accurate health records and reporting systems, safeguard confidential health information, ensure compliance with privacy and occupational health standards, and prepare reports, audits, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders. - Maintain alignment and uphold Mercy Ships Core Values, Code of Conduct, and follow the policies and procedures published on Compass. - Follow the model of Jesus and align with core values by Loving God; Loving and Serving Others; Being a Person of Integrity; and a Person of Excellence in all you say and do. - Other duties may be assigned that are not included in the information provided in this job description. Requirements - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent nursing licensure recognized in the candidate's country of residence. - Minimum 7 years of nursing experience. - Experience managing complex clinical cases and multidisciplinary teams. - Experience working remotely and collaborating across multiple locations and time zones. Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent nursing licensure recognized in the candidate's country of residence. - Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: - Occupational Health - Case Management - Workers' Compensation - Employee/Volunteer Health - Public Health - Global Health - Experience supporting volunteers in international service environments. - Experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, or risk management programs. - Experience working within Low to Middle Income Countries or other resource-limited settings. Compensation Compensation Range for This Position Is $75,000 - $80,400. This is a Full Time REMOTE position that requires international travel. **Compensation range listed is for U.S. hires only. Actual compensation may vary dependent upon location of hire.

Role Description iMPROve Health is seeking an adult physical medicine & rehabilitation physician with TBI experience or additional Brain Injury board certification to serve as an independent contractor (1099) performing independent external medical reviews remotely on an ad hoc basis. As a peer reviewer, you will apply your clinical expertise to evaluate cases, specific to your specialty, medical necessity and/or standard of care, supporting efforts to enhance the overall quality and integrity of health care and your profession.
