MRI Coil Repair Technician

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair MRI RF coils including head, spine, body, extremity, and phased-array coils • Perform detailed electrical, mechanical, and RF diagnostics to isolate component-level failures • Repair and recondition coils to meet or exceed OEM performance standards • Conduct functional testing and quality assurance using coil testing equipment and signal verification tools • Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records • Support preventive maintenance initiatives and assist with coil inventory management • Collaborate with MRI technologists, biomedical staff, and engineering teams to reduce equipment downtime • Identify recurring failure trends and provide recommendations for process or repair improvements
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing MRI coils (GE and Siemens platforms preferred)
- BMET certification or equivalent biomedical/electronics technical background
- Experience working with phased-array and multi-channel coil systems
- Familiarity with MRI system integration, RF shielding, and safety protocols
- Technical Skills**
- Strong understanding of RF electronics, signal integrity, and coil circuitry
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, and coil test equipment
- Knowledge of QA procedures and performance validation processes

• Manage end-to-end transport of IT hardware — rack systems, servers, and other data center equipment — across all lanes: domestic European moves, inbound international shipments (primarily from Taiwan-based suppliers), outbound from Europe as required, and shipments to and from Israel. • Coordinate inbound freight scheduling for both domestic and international shipments, including ocean and air freight from Taiwan and other origins, managing carrier and freight forwarder selection and delivery execution to ensure on-time, damage-free arrival at European sites. • Handle all RMA and RMS shipments, including coordination with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing. • Manage equipment transfers between company warehouses and data center facilities across Europe, optimising routes and minimising handling risk. • Maintain full visibility over active shipments across all lanes and proactively resolve transit issues, delays, or exceptions. • Develop contingency plans and alternative routing strategies to ensure business continuity. • Manage time-critical air freight shipments where required, including carrier selection, booking, and end-to-end tracking to ensure expedited delivery of hardware. • Coordinate closely with data center operations teams to support staging, buffering, and just-in-time hardware deployment. • Maintain accurate in-transit inventory records and ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation for all shipments. • Manage all shipment-related documentation in relevant systems (Jira, TMS, or equivalent), ensuring records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready. • Manage customs documentation and clearance processes for all cross-border shipments, including inbound from Taiwan, transfers within Europe, and shipments to and from Israel. • Process and reconcile logistics invoices; manage payments for transportation operations, including ZIP payments to the appropriate vendors and partners. • Work with the security team to establish and maintain secure shipment protocols and ensure compliance with physical security requirements. • Ensure all shipments comply with applicable regulations — including EU transport and customs requirements for domestic European moves, EU import/export regulations for international freight, and relevant cross-border trade compliance requirements for shipments involving Israel. • Manage VAT, duties, and customs declarations for inbound and outbound international shipments in line with EU regulations. • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all logistics activities, supporting internal (SOX) and external compliance requirements. • Establish and enforce SLAs and KPIs with freight carriers, forwarders, and 3PL partners; drive accountability through regular performance reviews. • Identify and escalate compliance gaps or process deviations, implementing corrective actions as needed. • Partner with hardware engineering, procurement, finance, and data center operations to align logistics execution with deployment timelines and business priorities. • Collaborate with OEM suppliers (e.g., Giga, ASUS), primarily based in Taiwan, to coordinate international shipping windows, batch tracking, customs documentation, and inbound scheduling into European facilities. • Coordinate with teams and partners in Israel to manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with applicable import/export requirements. • Act as the primary escalation point for European transport-related issues across internal teams and external partners. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and process standardisation. • Forecast transportation demand based on data center expansion plans, hardware deployment schedules, and capacity needs across European and international lanes. • Identify cost optimisation opportunities through carrier consolidation, routing improvements, and smarter scheduling. • Track and report on logistics costs across all lanes, flagging variances and recommending corrective actions. • Support data-driven decision-making through regular reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics.
