• Work directly with blind, deaf, and deafblind children in Costa Rica • Teach English using adapted and accessible materials • Conduct one-on-one and small group online sessions

Job Requirements

  • Native Spanish speakers required, C1/C2 level fluency in English. An English proficiency test will be required to validate the level if the degree is not in English, English Teaching, or English/Spanish translation
  • Based in Central or South America
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (English, Translation in English/Spanish, Special Education, or related field preferred)
  • Accredited TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (120 hours or above)
  • Holds a specialized certification in Visual Impairment, Deaf Education, Deafblindness, or Special Needs
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of prior experience teaching English (within the last 5 years), preferably as a second language; online experience preferred
  • Must provide a minimum of ten (10) hours of availability each week (including five (5) peak time hours)
  • No criminal record
  • Sign language proficiency — LSCo (Costa Rican Sign Language) or other national sign language
  • Certified Braille proficiency (Unified English Braille or equivalent national standard)
  • Deafblind communication methods: Tactile ASL, hand-over-hand guidance, object cues
  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
  • Post-graduate diploma or specialization in Inclusive or Special Education

Role Description The Enrollment Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing payer enrollment activities for providers across our national behavioral health network.
