Job Description

Senior Content Strategist

Level Agency

• Own Editorial Strategy: Lead Level’s content strategy across owned channels, including the website, blog, podcast, newsletter, social, and sales enablement. • Build the Content Calendar: Develop and maintain a 90-day content calendar tied to go-to-market priorities, active verticals, events, conferences, and sales needs. • Turn Expertise into Thought Leadership: Translate Level’s internal expertise into differentiated content that practitioners, buyers, and clients find credible and worth sharing. • Create Scalable Content Systems: Build repeatable workflows, templates, briefs, review loops, and production systems that make content creation more efficient and consistent. • Lead AI-Integrated Content Workflows: Use AI tools for research, drafting, repurposing, summarization, content scoring, search optimization, and distribution planning — while maintaining human judgment and editorial quality. • Own Web Content Strategy: Guide content for vertical pages, service pages, campaign landing pages, and other key website assets in partnership with design, SEO, and AI search teams. • Optimize for Search and AI Discovery: Structure content to perform across traditional organic search and AI-driven discovery surfaces like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. • Lead Case Study Strategy: Own the pipeline, standards, production, and publishing cadence for case studies, including stories built in Level’s CAISR format: Challenge, Analysis, Insight, Strategy, Result. • Support Sales Enablement: Partner with sales and marketing leaders to create one-pagers, vertical-specific decks, objection-handling content, competitive positioning, and other assets that help move opportunities forward. • Coordinate Stakeholders: Work with account leads, strategists, subject matter experts, clients, freelancers, contractors, and internal teams to get accurate, approved, on-brand content published. • Repurpose with Purpose: Turn podcasts, events, case studies, internal expertise, and campaign learnings into useful content across multiple formats and channels. • Keep Quality High: Protect Level’s voice, standards, accuracy, and credibility across everything we publish. • Contribute Beyond the Core: Depending on your background, you may also support podcast operations, agency award submissions, event content strategy, conference recaps, or PR-related content.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of content experience. You’ve built content in professional environments and have at least 2 years in a strategy, senior individual contributor, or team lead capacity.
  • Strong writing and editorial judgment. You can turn complex ideas, performance data, strategy, and stakeholder input into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Content strategy experience. You’ve owned content plans, editorial direction, calendars, channel strategy, and production priorities — not just individual assignments.
  • Experience building content systems. You know how to create repeatable workflows, templates, approval processes, and production pipelines that help teams scale.
  • Hands-on AI content experience. You’ve used AI tools in real workflows for research, drafting, repurposing, summarization, content scoring, search optimization, or workflow design.
  • Project management strength. You can manage multiple concurrent workstreams, set deadlines, keep stakeholders moving, and follow through without being chased.
  • Stakeholder management skills. You’re comfortable interviewing and coordinating with executives, internal experts, account leads, sales teams, clients, freelancers, and contractors.
  • Long-form content experience. You’ve produced assets such as case studies, research reports, white papers, editorial articles, thought leadership, or sales enablement content.
  • Comfort with interviews. You can conduct qualitative interviews with internal and external stakeholders and turn messy input into useful content.
  • High quality bar. You catch gaps, inconsistencies, unclear claims, weak structure, and off-brand language before content goes live.
  • Self-directed work habits. You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable using project management tools to keep work visible and moving.
  • WordPress familiarity. You have experience publishing or editing web content in WordPress and basic comfort with HTML/CSS for formatting and on-page edits.

Benefits

  • Generous time off, including unlimited PTO (U.S.), competitive vacation (Canada), and parental/family leave options

  • Employer retirement contributions (401(k) in the U.S., RRSP match in Canada)
  • Quarterly performance reviews and career advancement opportunities
