Job Description

Senior Director, Product

Avo

• Drive the product roadmap across Avo’s suite of products and platform infrastructure, balancing near-term customer value with long-term platform differentiation • Translate insights from customers, clinicians, sales, and the market into a clear product direction, turning complex clinical workflows and user needs into actionable product requirements and differentiated customer value. • Translate complex clinical use cases into product requirements that engineering can act on and customers can clearly recognize • Demonstrate deep expertise and understanding in UI/UX design by translating complex clinical workflows and product functionality into intuitive, scalable, and customer-centric experiences. Lead the application of user-centered design best practices, driving usability, adoption, and measurable customer value through thoughtful interaction and visual design • Partner with implementation and customer success to close the loop between what we promise, what we ship, and what actually works at the bedside • Work hand-in-hand with engineering leads to scope, sequence, and ship features - from early spec through rollout and iteration, tracking adoption and engagement and various impact metrics • Drive clarity on requirements and tradeoffs, unblocking engineering rather than adding process. • Lead cross-functional collaboration across distributed Product and Engineering teams , establishing effective operating rhythms and communication practices that enable rapid execution across time zones • Maintain a strong perspective on emerging AI technologies, market trends, and competitive dynamics to help define where Avo product should lead • Contribute to sales cycles and customer conversations as a product authority, helping close and retain enterprise accounts. • Mentor junior product team members and help build Avo's product culture as the team scales

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead PM role
  • Experience in clinical decision support, or enterprise SaaS serving regulated industries, a plus
  • Hands-on experience building or managing AI-powered product experiences, with an understanding of how LLM capabilities and limitations impact user-facing workflows and UX
  • Track record of shipping complex, multi-stakeholder products and iterating them to scale
  • Strong instincts for product strategy - you can identify the right problem to solve before prescribing the solution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you write crisp specs, give clear demos, and can hold your own in a room with health system executives
  • Experience working closely with engineering and clinical teams - you understand technical architecture well enough to have useful tradeoff conversations
  • Prior experience at a startup or high-growth company, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to move quickly
  • Comfortable working across US and Asia-Pacific time zones, including early morning or evening hours as needed
  • Periodic travel to Korea 2–3 times per year, approximately one week per trip. This is not symbolic travel; dedicated in-person engagement is a core responsibility of the role.

Benefits

  • Generous Time Off: Flexible and generous PTO
  • Comprehensive Health Plans: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family
  • 401K Matching: Contribution matching to help invest in your future
  • Personal Device Allowance: Tax-free funds for personal device usage
