Role Description Ciklum is looking for an AI Back End Software Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine. As an AI Back End Software Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. We are looking for technology experts who want to make an impact on new business by applying best practices and taking ownership. - Own the software products from conception to operation, taking over full responsibility for its applications, from design to operation, as part of a cross-functional team. - Tackle the whole software development cycle of designing, building, testing and deploying applications, with a broad toolkit of technologies and methods and a strong DevOps/DevSecOps mindset. - Architect and deliver advanced AI-powered Search solutions using AWS Bedrock, including orchestration of multimodal foundation models, custom model fine-tuning, vector-based retrieval augmentation, and latency-optimized inference paths. - Design microservices that consume Bedrock-hosted models securely and cost-efficiently, integrate them into our event-driven AWS architecture, and ensure observability, governance, and continuous delivery via GitLab CI and Terraform. - Work in an agile environment and keep up with the ever-evolving technical landscape as a lifelong learner. - Support your team in delivering the best answers to our customers' needs. - Together with the domains Practice teams as well as the Group Enabler teams, research, evaluate, test new approaches, processes, and tools and help teams to use them effectively. - Drive for technical excellence, ownership, and self-organisation at team and personal level. Qualifications - Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and their respective ecosystems. - Experience in Micronaut or SpringBoot framework, Terraform. - Experience building AI/LLM features, Hands-on with AWS Bedrock, and configuring Guardrails. - Understanding of machine learning/AI frameworks and libraries. - Proficiency in data preprocessing and feature and/or prompt engineering. - Experience with Open Search. - Experience with implementing resource-oriented APIs (REST, GraphQL) on client and server side. - Expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools, and services on AWS. - Experience with data persistence (SQL/noSQL). - Creating Microservices. - Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI. - Ability to design, build, test, and deploy applications. - Customer-centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services. - Demonstrating true software craftsmanship mindset. - Passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and great teams. - Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills. - Understanding of social and ethical implications of software engineering. - Open-minded, inquisitive, life-long learner. - Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. • Architect robust microservices solutions to support complex application requirements. • Collaborate with the customer's team to review technical specifications and deliver high-quality code. • Contribute expert insights to improve application performance, reliability, and security. • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. • Document technical processes and solutions with clear, concise written communication. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems as needed.

• Design and implement complex business logic in Go while ensuring high performance and reliability. • Design efficient SQL database structures, optimize queries, and build asynchronous service interactions using Kafka. • Own the lifecycle of backend services, including delivery, monitoring, and production support. • Write clean, maintainable code, perform code reviews, follow architectural guidelines, and apply engineering best practices. • Implement monitoring and alerting, participate in post-mortem activities, identify root causes, and automate routine tasks. • Share knowledge with teammates, onboard new engineers, and contribute to internal libraries and tools. • Continuously improve technical solutions and contribute to delivering the best possible product experience.
