• Architect and implement core on-chain protocols for a Decentralized Exchange (DEX), including capital vaults, clearinghouses, and settlement engines. • Develop the underlying logic for clearing and settlement processes, ensuring high-fidelity integration with off-chain high-performance matching engines. • Design and maintain robust Oracle contract frameworks to support real-time price feeds, data validation, and asset valuation. • Lead smart contract security hardening initiatives, collaborate with external auditors to rectify vulnerabilities, and oversee mainnet deployments. • Partner with backend and QA teams to bridge the gap between off-chain trade commands and on-chain fund movements for seamless execution.

• Architect and build secure smart contract protocols and backend services to connect Coinbase users with the crypto ecosystem • Drive standardization in crypto protocols by designing and defining interfaces • Work closely with the Base leadership and product team to set our onchain strategy and roadmaps • Mentor and train other team members on smart contract engineering best practices

• Design, implement, and deploy Solidity-based smart contracts powering core protocol functionality • Build and execute governance “Spells” that modify system parameters and logic • Collaborate with ecosystem actors (risk, governance, product) to define new mechanisms • Contribute to the architecture of lending, collateralization, and stablecoin systems • Conduct deep audits of smart contracts and protocol changes • Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities (reentrancy, oracle manipulation, etc.) • Maintain production-grade reliability for contracts managing billions in TVL • Optimize contract execution paths for efficiency at scale • Integrate contracts with frontends, off-chain systems, and governance tooling • Contribute to broader system design decisions across the Sky ecosystem • Stay ahead of emerging standards (ERCs, account abstraction, new DeFi primitives)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into smart contracts • Implement, test, and deploy smart contracts on various blockchain platforms • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code for smart contracts • Conduct comprehensive security audits to identify vulnerabilities • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and best practices • Continuously optimize existing smart contracts for gas efficiency, performance, and scalability • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements • Develop and execute test cases to validate functionality and security • Collaborate with DevOps teams for seamless deployment of contracts • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all smart contracts
