Field Service Mechanic
FIRSTCALL MECHANICAL GROUP LLC
Role Description We are seeking a Field Service Mechanic to join our fast-growing team. This individual should be able to maintain confidentiality and have a high level of mechanical aptitude. This candidate must be safety-oriented, analytical, perceptive, with a critical thinking mindset. The individual should have effective communication skills and be self-motivated. Job Responsibilities - Installation: Setting up new equipment and ensuring it operates correctly. - Maintenance: Performing proactive service checks and preventative maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition. - Repairs: Diagnosing and fixing issues with malfunctioning equipment. - Troubleshooting: Identifying problems and implementing solutions to restore equipment functionality and reduce downtime. - Customer support: Providing technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring they understand how to use and maintain their equipment. - Documentation: Keeping detailed records of services performed, assets used, and customer interactions. - Travel: Frequently going to various customer sites to provide on-site service. Accountabilities - Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through FirstCall Academy, to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industry. - Elite level of customer service, to ensure we continue to be the FirstCall our customers make for their HVAC and mechanical needs. Qualifications - Humble – Communicate and listen to other team members. - Curious – Wants to learn and willing to be coached. - Self-reflective – Willing to analyze self-performance and look for opportunities to improve. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. - Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting 50 pounds and performing tasks that require extended periods of bending, kneeling, and standing. - Work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required. Behavioral Profile - Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. - Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. - Operating Skills: Ability to discern between tasks to determine how best to accomplish goals and organize task/people assignments to get results in a timely way. Ability to figure out processes and simplify them in order to maximize workflow. - Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
