Role Description The Project Engineer supports the successful execution of GenPro’s solar EPC projects by assisting with engineering coordination, design review, and technical support activities throughout preconstruction and construction. This role contributes to translating project intent into safe, buildable, and code-compliant designs by working under the direction of senior engineering leadership and in close collaboration with Project Management, Construction, and external partners. - Provides hands-on support for engineering tasks and deliverables. - Ensures designs align with safety standards, OSHA requirements, electrical codes, and constructability best practices. - Assists in maintaining design continuity and supporting critical path activities. - Addresses technical issues as they arise to help projects progress toward successful energization. - Aligns engineering decisions with project cost, schedule, safety, and performance objectives. - Develops practical field-focused solutions and strengthens technical execution across GenPro’s portfolio. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred. - 3–4+ years of experience in solar project engineering, EPC construction, or related technical role. - Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative mindset. - Software/tools expertise with the following, or comparable: AutoCad, PVSyst, Excel, Smartsheets, ProCore, SiteTracker, etc. Requirements - NABCEP certification a plus. - Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. - Applicants being considered for hire must pass a background check and drug test before beginning work. - Refusal to submit to a background check or drug testing will result in disqualification of further employment consideration. Benefits - $80,000 to $120,000 annual salary plus bonus opportunity (depending on experience).
