Role Description The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Division, is seeking a dedicated Intermediate Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential operational subject matter and technical support for the AZ360 HRM modules, leveraging Transact Structured Query Language (TSQL) to deliver impactful reporting and data insights. Serving as a primary liaison between the Information Technology department and a key business unit, you will facilitate the seamless integration of technology and business processes to ensure organizational goals are met. Working under general supervision, you will: - Collaborate closely with technical teams to perform system configuration and comprehensive testing for AZ360, PageUp, and CSOD modules. - Execute specific system modifications and process improvements identified during discovery sessions with key divisions, including the Benefits Services Division (BSD), Human Resources Division (HRD), and the Division of Business and Finance (DBF). - Serve as the primary responder for troubleshooting business unit and department system issues to ensure continuous operational support. - Perform initial technical analysis and manage the end-to-end ticketing process for system resolutions to maintain overall environment stability. - Utilize Transact Structured Query Language (TSQL) to develop ad hoc reports and perform complex data extractions. - Assist in the collection and analysis of performance metrics to validate that implemented solutions meet agency expectations and functional requirements. - Partner with customers to identify business unit challenges, collect detailed requirements, and provide documentation for best practice models and resolutions. - Support the statewide roll-out of the Arizona Management System (AMS) and assist in developing training content for new AZ360 modules. - Prepare professional briefing documentation, presentations, and reports for various agency stakeholders. - Participate in relevant professional meetings and training sessions, which may include travel on State business. - Demonstrate flexibility to work nights and weekends as required to accomplish mission-critical tasks and meet rigorous deadlines. Qualifications - General knowledge of methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, business process modeling, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and software development. - Familiarity with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK). - AZ360 (CGI Advantage), PageUp Recruiting, configuration and analysis, including Spreadsheet Designer; TSQL reporting, SQL Server reporting services, AZ360 tables. - Data collection and analytics, project management principles and practices, partnering and consulting with customers of all levels, Google software suite, and translating data trends into usable information for non-technical audiences. Requirements - Executing LEAN continuous improvement, making informed decisions/recommendations, performing advanced Excel and Google Sheets functions. - Documenting process flows and value stream mapping, identifying the root-cause of issues and formulating solutions, research and analysis techniques. - Planning, prioritizing and completing multiple tasks, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and providing a high level of customer service. - Effectively adapt to multiple/changing priorities, work under pressure to meet project deliverables and changing deadlines; establish and maintain interpersonal relationships. - Understand the needs of State Government agencies and work independently or in a team environment. • Analyze the impact of our services across districts to discover insights that tell the story of our impact, what leads to repeatable results, and what indicates when outcomes are at risk • Develop innovative reporting and story-telling approaches to address business problems and solutions • Create clear and simple data visualizations, tables, and dashboards using business intelligence tools for tracking metrics, prototyping GroweLab reports, and sharing insights with stakeholders • Use modern reporting tools to streamline and automate manual, repetitive reporting processes, bringing new insights to leaders in an interactive and timely manner • Make recommendations surrounding which data points to analyze and monitor depending on the project goals • Develop ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decision making. • Coordinate inputs from multiple sources, synthesize data/information and create qualitative commentary capturing key messages • Use data modeling, prototyping, statistics, data mining, scenario analysis to collect, explore, and extract insights and summarize them in concise reports • Prepare data for analysis by inspecting, cleansing, and performing transformation as necessary • Support data integrity by providing quality assurance and performing user acceptance testing on platform reports and associated data, to ensure they are complete, consistent, and provide accurate data • Develop and administer surveys for the purposes of data collection on e2L products • Act as a "Data Translator" to communicate and understand the value of analytical work • Other duties as assigned

• Lead requirements analysis by collaborating with client stakeholders, reviewing documentation, conducting workshops to surface business needs, and translating requirements into well-architected platform solutions • Develop detailed technical solution documentation including process flowcharts, diagrams, data models, and user guides • Own the full user story lifecycle: author stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira, and drive ongoing requirements clarification with client and internal stakeholders through delivery. • Configure and maintain business applications using the Evoke low-code platform, operating within solution designs established by the development team and escalating design decisions accordingly • Ensure all production changes follow lifecycle methodology, version control, appropriate testing, and risk guidelines • Conduct working sessions with clients to facilitate feedback and resolve issues during client review and UAT • Lead end-user and administrator training sessions • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing, guiding end users and resolving reported issues • Triage and document system issues during client review and testing, coordinating with solution developers on resolution
