Job Description
Digital Project Manager – Contract to Hire
XDS - A Customer Experience Agency
• Oversee and manage entire digital presence for clients (e.g. website management, intranet, banner ads, landing pages, paid media campaigns, email campaigns, print flyers, social media, SEO/SEM, etc.) • Proactively troubleshoot, resolve roadblocks, and keep projects moving smoothly—no babysitting needed. • Translate client goals into actionable plans with clarity, speed, and an instinct for where AI and automation can do the heavy lifting. • Monitor scope, budget, timelines, and interdependencies—always with an eye on outcomes. • Prepare and provide accurate status to internal teams and clients, including updates on delivery of campaigns, and identifying/communicating/resolving issues in a timely manner. • Effectively guide, coach, and mentor peer digital producers to grow their skills and meet project objectives. • Drive and track interdependencies across digital platforms, work streams, communicate status and assist with maintaining team metrics. • Facilitate negotiations between stakeholders around scope and priority. • Jump in where needed across tasks—from resourcing and QA to documentation and optimization, and using AI to accelerate any of the above • Be a self-starter. As a resourceful and resilient self-starter, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where initiative and innovation are required. • Use AI tools to compress production cycles—drafting status reports, briefs, QA checklists, and first-pass content—so the team spends its time on judgment, not busywork. • Build and refine repeatable workflows (prompts, templates, automations) that scale how the team delivers across clients, rather than reinventing each project from scratch.
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in digital production or project management within an agency or fast-paced environment.
- Strong cross-functional understanding of digital marketing, web development/design, SEO, paid media, and analytics.
- Experience managing multi-channel campaigns and web projects with high visibility and measurable results.
- Demonstrated ability to lead delivery while contributing directly to execution when needed.
- Experience working with multiple clients and stakeholder groups.
- Strong grasp of PM tools and techniques (we use Asana and lean heavily on AI to augment how we work), but your thinking goes far beyond checklists.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Exceptional organizational, collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and self-awareness. Sometimes projects can be challenging, and the right mindset, attitude and collaboration skills are key.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in real production work—not just experimentation. You can show how AI has made your output faster or better.
