Business Development Representative

Vermont Systems

• Execute structured outbound prospecting campaigns across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other approved channels to generate qualified pipeline. • Identify and engage target accounts, stakeholders, and buying committees within parks and recreation agencies, camps, municipalities, YMCAs, schools, military recreation, and other recreation focused organizations. • Maintain consistent daily prospecting activity aligned with team goals, territory priorities, and campaign initiatives. • Qualify leads using established qualification frameworks and sales processes. • Conduct discovery conversations to understand organizational structure, operational challenges, existing systems, purchasing processes, timelines, and business priorities. • Schedule and coordinate meetings and demos with the appropriate sales representative. • Maintain accurate and complete records within CRM and sales engagement platforms, including activities, notes, contacts, account updates, qualification details, and next steps.

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer facing roles, or prospecting environments preferred.
  • Experience within SaaS, technology, recreation management, camps, municipal software, or related industries is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Self motivated with a consistent work ethic and accountability mindset.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging prospective customers daily.
  • Strong listening, questioning, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales engagement tools.

Role Description Finite State is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager, East Americas to drive pipeline generation and strategic account engagement across the East Americas region. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role serves as a critical bridge between marketing and sales, transforming demand generation, ABM programs, events, partner initiatives, and outbound campaigns into qualified pipeline opportunities. This role works hand-in-hand with Account Executives to penetrate strategic accounts, engage buying teams, and create meaningful sales opportunities.
