• Developing, debugging, and optimising T-SQL stored procedures to support ETL/ELT processes and automation workflows • Managing SQL Server instances across environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and capacity planning • Designing and maintaining backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies while ensuring high availability of systems • Monitoring and tuning database performance, including query optimisation, indexing, and resource management • Supporting cloud integrations and managing database environments within AWS and Azure platforms • Collaborating with development teams to review and optimise database solutions, ensuring efficient and secure deployments

• Design and implement secure, scalable, multi-tenant database architectures for healthcare SaaS applications • Develop data models and storage solutions for sensitive healthcare data (PHI, PII/PPI) • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, and other relevant regulations • Implement data encryption (at rest and in transit), masking, and access controls • Architect systems for high availability, disaster recovery, and auditability • Define and enforce data governance, retention, and audit logging policies • Optimize database performance for large-scale healthcare datasets and real-time access • Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams to meet regulatory requirements • Lead data migration and integration with EHR/EMR systems and third-party healthcare platforms • Comply best practices for secure CI/CD pipelines involving database changes • Monitor systems for data integrity, breaches, and anomalous access patterns

Role Description A professional Database Administrator will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both the backend data structure and front-end accessibility for end-users. - Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialised role. - Design and implement a database in accordance to end users' information needs and views. - Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in the appropriate format and in a timely manner. - Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data. - Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses. - Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users. - Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards. - Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity. - Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required. Qualifications - Proven working experience as a Database Administrator. - Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications. - Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL. - Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding. - Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools. - Familiarity with programming languages API. - Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically. - BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
