PETA
• Research, write, and publish creative, compelling, and on-trend lifestyle content • Ensure all content is SEO-optimized and includes captivating headlines, meta descriptions, and keywords • Publish articles to PETA's websites via WordPress • Own PETA’s lifestyle section by leading bi-weekly brainstorming sessions • Follow breaking news in the animal rights world closely and pitch stories to your supervisor daily • Liaise with PETA's social media team • Liaise with stakeholders and editors to ensure accuracy of all content • Track and analyze web traffic via Google Analytics
Job Requirements
- College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of experience creating content in a fast-paced newsroom environment, either as part of a traditional media company or in a marketing-focused role
- At least one year of experience building posts and uploading photos to a content management system (CMS), preferably WordPress
- Ability to edit photos in Photoshop, Canva, or other image editing software with skilled application of effective web presentation
- Ability to use Google Analytics and other programs to determine how well your posts are performing
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to write catchy, clickable headlines
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven interest in and strong working knowledge of online trends

You will be responsible for signing new authors for textbook projects as well as recruiting coauthors, and ensuring existing projects are regularly revised on optimal schedules. As the market expert, you will demonstrate your knowledge of the subject area, course market dynamics, the competitive landscape, curriculum, and subject area trends to chart a vision and strategy for your field. In this highly collaborative role, you will work closely with product management, content development, marketing communications, sales, sales enablement, and other departments within US College. You act as an ambassador for Sage externally, working closely and frequently with authors and customers through a variety of mediums (phone, email, videoconference, in person).
