• You will be responsible for creating engaging and intriguing short-form 15-60 second vertical videos that keep our audience hooked; with content that is relevant and up to date with the latest trends in the Minecraft and broader social media and pop culture community. • Ability to mimic existing editing styles: https://www.youtube.com/@eystreem & https://www.youtube.com/@Firelight • Understanding cuts, flow, and variation in tempo to ensure there is no "Dead Space" in videos and being aware of the "Pace" to maintain viewer engagement throughout. • Keeping up to date with the Minecraft Community & Trends in social media and pop culture, infusing fresh and relevant elements into video edits. • Understanding and utilizing music effectively, including considerations of BPM (beats per minute), when to use different genres, and transitioning between them seamlessly. • Understanding and utilizing sound effects (SFX) effectively, including knowing when, where, and what to add to enhance immersion and narrative impact. • Understanding and utilizing visual effects (VFX) effectively, encompassing keyframing, color grading, ingesting footage, and other techniques to elevate production quality and storytelling capabilities. • Scheduling content across multiple platforms • Sharing ideas, feedback, and assets with team members to collectively contribute to the success of video content. • Utilizing communication tools such as Monday.com and Discord to collaborate with the team, share edits, and coordinate effectively. • Managing time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality videos in a timely manner, while continually striving to improve editing skills and techniques.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in video editing.
- Proficiency in utilizing YouTube Analytics and key metrics such as Average View Duration (AVD), Click-Through Rate (CTR), AVD in the first 30 seconds, and Impressions, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding.
- Skillful use of both Sound Effects (SFX) and Visual Effects (VFX) to enhance video quality and storytelling.
- Exceptional communication skills and proactive engagement within team dynamics.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for seamless editing workflows.
- Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and navigate project timelines effectively.
- Demonstrated capacity to incorporate feedback constructively and adapt editing approaches accordingly.
- In-depth knowledge of social media and pop-culture trends, ideally with a focus on the Minecraft community.
- Expertise in applying Look-Up Tables (LUTs) and Color Correction techniques to enhance visual aesthetics.
- Preferably, experience in timecode syncing for precise editing synchronization.
