• Typically after a year of on the job training, a Data Scientist 3 on the Technical Services team is able to: • Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to implement strategic engineering proof of concepts and contribute to technology strategy and engineering roadmaps • Work with clients and internal partners throughout the organization to identify and execute upon opportunities for demonstrating marketing data to drive business solutions • Identify new solutions that positively impact internal our customers and internal operations • Work with the Research Development and Innovation team to develop cutting edge solutions that drive efficiencies, savings or revenue • Audit existing datasets for accuracy, reliability and consistency • Work with senior team members to identify data models and algorithms to apply to unique client problems • Increase and optimize user experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes using predictive modeling and other advanced analysis techniques • Coordinate with internal and client data engineering teams to implement models and supervise outcomes • Run technical projects including scope, schedule and resources, tracking progress to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time and on budget • Oversee work completed by junior team members to ensure timely delivery and quality of work, guiding them to implement standard methodologies in solution development and client relationships • Support digital analytics implementations with broad understanding of tag management, HTML and JavaScript on websites • Develop applications (visualization, routing data, cleaning data, access to data, interacting with data) for analytics pipelines • Lead and drive projects assigned to completion with attention to detail and high quality • Provide technical and developmental support to senior level mentees • Establish long term relationships with customers in order to gain and cultivate trust (become their Trusted Advisor) • Provide career development suggestions and support to mentees • Assist management in team meetings and team planning exercises • Communicate goals and deadlines to team members • Assist team in meeting monthly KPIs • Assist with team resourcing needs and planning • Assist with hiring new team members • Assess team performance and provide feedback • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- College degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field preferred - OR - successful completion of code school program combined with experience in data science
- Advanced skills with SQL and Python for advanced analysis required
- Experience with Google BigQuery or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS or Azure tools as they relate to big data
- Machine Learning Framework experience
- Familiar with how JavaScript is used for websites
- Proven ability to solve complex problems with on-time delivery, the highest quality, and creativity in the approach
- Experience with and desire to mentor and encourage growth in junior team members
- Ability to listen and understand business needs and creatively develop solutions
- Ability to work on a team and manage individual prioritize workload
- Experience leading fast paced and flexible technical teams
- Expert in understanding and communicating complex technical solutions and concepts to all levels within a client's organization
- Strong desire to become a proficient Data Scientist for a fast paced company.
