Senior UX Designer
Expel
• Conduct user and market research to understand the personas, use cases, and jobs to be done. • Synthesise research insights and present findings to team members and leadership. • Work closely with engineers so you grasp the technical constraints and opportunities for creative experimentation. • Design lean experiments to test hypotheses, measure outcomes, and iterate rapidly. • Think big picture, guide product vision with other collaborators • Collaborate with partners in product management, engineering, UX, and our Secure Operations leadership to guarantee we're taking on the right problems with the best solutions to scale the product.
Job Requirements
- Strong UX design practice, particularly in research, prototyping, interaction design, design systems, and workshop facilitation.
- Curiosity and willingness to dive into the technical details with engineers, when needed.
- Experience designing workflows and communicating information to users to make informed decisions.
- Effective low-fi sketching and prototyping as a means to get feedback and iterate quickly—and the willingness to throw it all out and try again.
- Clear articulation of the design problem, the tradeoffs you've made in your solution, and the impact of different approaches.
- A high degree of comfort making decisions without all the information, and learning from the inevitable wrong turns.
- Strong communication skills that ensure product partners are in the loop, understand project direction, know what's coming up next and one year down the road.
