Role Description We are looking for a motivated colleague to join our Product Management team. This team is charged with developing new and innovative insurance products as well as managing our growing and increasingly diversified national portfolio of admitted and surplus lines products. More flexible and fast-paced than a traditional carrier, we are looking for an individual with an insurance background who is energized by a highly collaborative environment and is seeking opportunities to build products, process, and structure from the ground up! As a Sr Product Analyst, you will support a Product Manager and National Product Leader for one of our LOBs (admitted home, E&S home, renters, flood). You will conduct analyses to evaluate business results or problem-solve high priority topics. Additionally, you’ll support the creation & launch of new product enhancements by creating new product exhibits and coordinating filing documents as required. Our org model emphasizes a close partnership between Analyst & Product Manager, giving you the opportunity to learn up-close & practice the skills required to advance your career. Roles are available at the Product Analyst or Senior Product Analyst; commensurate with the expertise, autonomy, and experience. - Conduct analyses of business results, marketplace trends, new market opportunities - Create data-driven recommendations based on analyses & understanding of business objectives - Assist Product Manager on managing the d2d operations, including: addressing carrier questions, responding to DOI inquiries, etc - Design new product enhancements & build the required product documentation required for internal use and DOI filings - Conduct annual rate proposals to ensure assigned LOB is at rate adequacy and pricing segmentation is effective - Conduct post-implementation QC’ing and results evaluation for new launches - Coordinate with internal ops/IT/sales teams to problem-solve and resolve issues Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business administration, mathematics/statistics, finance or other quantitative discipline, or equivalent work experience - Related experience in insurance product management preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance industry - Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is required. Working knowledge of other technical programs is highly desired but not required (e.g. SQL, Python) - Well organized with a strong attention to detail - Desire to solve problems, think analytically and move quickly to build new programs - High degree of flexibility and comfort responding to changing business needs - Self-motivated with a can-do attitude - Ability to work as a team player to deliver results effectively and efficiently to a variety of customers Location - Remote, with access to local Baldwin Group offices as desired - Travel occasionally for internal and external meetings
