Role Description We are looking to add a Floorplan Designer to our Creative Team. The Floorplan Designer is responsible for producing and updating detailed facility floorplans, ensuring accurate booth placement, structural integration, and supporting documentation for production. They work independently on assigned projects, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure layouts meet technical requirements, event needs, and departmental standards. You will report to the Vice President of Creative Services & Design. Position may be done remotely. Limited travel may be required. Salary is $70-75K. What You’ll Do: - Produce accurate floorplans that reflect booth, structure, and facility layouts. - Develop carpet plans and cut reports in alignment with event specifications. - Update and revise layouts based on feedback, logistical changes, or technical adjustments. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure layout feasibility and accuracy. - Maintain assigned tasks in the project management system, meeting all deadlines. - Follow departmental standards for file setup, layer naming, and drafting protocols. - Communicate any conflicts, missing information, or timeline risks to the project lead. Qualifications - 3-5 years of floorplan design or related drafting experience. - Proficiency in AutoCAD. - Strong technical drafting and spatial layout skills. - Experience creating carpet plans and cut reports preferred. - Proven ability to handle complex, large-scale layouts under tight deadlines. - Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration. - Technical degree or certification in structural design, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field preferred. Requirements - Contributes to a studio environment that values shared ideas, celebrates achievements, and encourages continuous learning. - Navigate a fast-paced workload with the ability to pivot quickly as timelines shift. - Maintains consistent availability during core hours with flexibility for project deadlines. - Embraces feedback as part of the design process, iterating quickly to refine concepts. - Work within the designated software, platforms, and workflow systems set by the Creative Services Department.
