Senior Data Engineer – DBT
Rox Partner
• Continuously monitor batch, streaming and on-demand data pipelines to ensure availability and data quality. • Identify, analyze and resolve operational incidents and critical failures in data environments. • Perform advanced troubleshooting by analyzing logs, metrics and alerts on GCP platforms. • Monitor and support data workflows, including DAGs, reprocessing, dependencies, and load validations. • Track execution of processes in Dataproc, Spark, BigQuery and other components of the data architecture. • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Governance and Business teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvements. • Contribute to the stability, reliability and evolution of data environments. • Prepare and maintain incident documentation, root cause analyses (RCA), operational procedures and action plans. • Participate in automation, observability and operational process optimization initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
- Strong expertise in BigQuery, including data modeling, performance optimization and cost control;
- Experience with Dataproc / Apache Spark;
- Experience working with batch data pipelines, including monitoring and reprocessing;
- Ability to analyze logs, identify and handle failures in data pipelines;
- Knowledge of IAM (Identity and Access Management) and permission management on GCP;
- Experience in regulated, critical or high-availability environments;
- Knowledge of Continuous Query, with a focus on continuous data processing and incremental updates (streaming or near real-time);
- Experience with Pub/Sub, including integration, monitoring and operation of event-driven and messaging pipelines;
- Knowledge of Cloud SQL (MySQL) for operation, support and data analysis in managed relational databases;
- Experience with Cloud Functions, supporting and maintaining event-driven serverless functions;
- Experience with Cloud Run, including operation and monitoring of containerized applications in serverless environments;
- Experience with Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), monitoring, analyzing and supporting DAGs, including failures, reprocessing and dependencies;
- Knowledge of MongoDB, with a focus on queries, data analysis and support for NoSQL databases;
- Practical experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or similar).

The Principal Data Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and scaling enterprise data platforms and pipelines.
