InnerPlant is a place for people that believe they can make a difference and want to improve how decisions are made on the farm. Position Description: The Agronomy Services Representative will support the successful expansion of the CropVoice TM system in Iowa. The Agronomy Services Representative will focus on introducing the technical components of the CropVoice system to farmers, retail partners, and contract researchers. The Agronomy Services Representative will work closely with product, biology and sales teams to provide information and guide decisions. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic start-up atmosphere, takes initiative to move projects forward, and can work effectively with researchers and salespeople. While the position is remote, the selected candidate must be based in Iowa (a central Iowa location preferred) to manage the logistics of meeting with customers and researchers throughout the state. Key Responsibilities: - Educate and train growers, retail partners and other industry professionals on the benefits of the CropVoice system - Establish and maintain strong working relationships with retail agronomists, crop consultants and farmers - Build relationships with local research organizations and complete contracts with them to implement protocols and plots - Scout fields and plot locations during the growing season to understand local conditions including fungal and insect infestations on a regular basis - Collaborate with the sales team to support ag retailers and farmers by delivering agronomic insights, ensuring product adoption, and driving farmer success - Oversee field detection and remote sensing equipment to ensure proper installment, and the accuracy and reliability of data collected from our plots - Analyze experimental data and generate reports to inform decision making - Provide data and images from our plots to support the development of marketing materials - Ensure all operations comply with all regulations and safety standards Key Skills: - Strong working knowledge of agronomic practices for corn and soybean production including an understanding of fungicide modes of action - Ability to summarize and teach complex information to multiple different audiences - Strong organizational, problem solving and planning skills - Ability to work closely and collaboratively with multiple different groups of people including retailers, farmers, internal researchers and internal sales teams
