Role Description This role is a remote position, however we will be prioritizing candidates who are located in or easily able to accommodate Central Time (CST). The Market Comparable Research Assistant supports the firm’s Seniors Housing team through detailed market research and data collection efforts across the United States. This role is primarily focused on identifying, verifying, and analyzing market rent comparables for seniors housing properties using a combination of phone outreach and online research tools. This is a research-driven position with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, communication with market participants, and organization of comparable property information. The position is part-time (up to 29 hours per week) and intended as an ongoing, year-round role. Key Responsibilities and Duties - Conduct market rent comparable research for seniors housing properties across the U.S. - Perform outbound calls to property operators, managers, and other market participants to gather rental rate and operational data - Collect and verify information through online databases and industry platforms (e.g., CoStar, LandVision, GIS, public records, etc.) - Compile, organize, and maintain comparable property datasets - Perform basic comparative analysis of rent levels, fee structures, occupancy, and operational characteristics - Enter and maintain clean, consistent data within internal databases and Excel-based tools - Support ongoing research assignments and ad hoc data requests Qualifications - Strong communication skills, including comfort with frequent phone-based research - Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy - Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications - Reliable internet connection and appropriate environment for making calls in a hybrid setting Preferred Experience (Not Required) - Prior experience in real estate, market research, or data collection roles - Familiarity with seniors housing, multifamily, or commercial real estate markets - Experience using research tools such as CoStar, GIS platforms, or public record databases Benefits - Flexible, part-time schedule (up to 29 hours per week) - Year-round employment opportunity - Exposure to national-level market research within a specialized real estate sector - Collaborative and team-oriented work environment Work Environment - Reliable internet connection - Ability to work with privacy - Quiet background for making frequent phone calls
