• Own analysis end-to-end across the business: scope the question, pull and validate the data, run the analysis, and land on a clear answer • Analyze business and operational performance across verticals; identify and quantify the drivers behind changes in orders, revenue, margin, and customer behavior • Run deep-dive investigations into performance trends and problems, separating signal from noise and diagnosing the underlying root cause rather than the symptom • Build financial and operational models to size opportunities and evaluate the impact of pricing, promotions, incentives, and product or operational changes • Conduct unit economics, profitability, cohort, retention, and trend analysis across customer segments, order types, and business initiatives • Pressure-test assumptions and business cases with data, and challenge conclusions that the numbers do not support • Translate analytical findings into clear, concise insights and concrete recommendations for stakeholders • Support a broad range of analytical projects and exploratory analysis as business priorities evolve
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical role within technology, marketplace, operations, finance, or management consulting
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems and structure them into clear analysis
- Advanced SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries and validate results independently
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and clear data presentation
- Solid understanding of marketplace or on-demand delivery economics, including unit economics and profitability drivers
- Experience with cohort, retention, and behavioral analysis
- Strong analytical judgment: the ability to challenge assumptions, assess data quality, and interpret results critically
- A rigorous, detail-oriented approach to analysis, paired with the commercial sense to know which numbers actually matter
- Comfort working with ambiguity and limited briefs, and the initiative to move analysis forward independently
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to structure complex findings clearly for non-technical audiences.
