• Own the development, maintenance, and execution of forward-looking drug spend forecasting models • Quantify the impact of macro-market shifts in collaboration with Pricing team • Partner with the Clinical Strategy team to translate upcoming pharmacy market events into quantitative financial models • Evaluate customer level trends, to identify key drivers and inform future expectations at the overall spend levels • Translate highly complex actuarial and analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for executive leadership, consultants, and sophisticated employer groups • Direct the creation of external trend reports showcasing Smith’s market expectations and cost-containment efficacy • Work with the Data Analytics team to build out model(s) for deeply understanding drug spend forecasts, and build reports to maximally automate the process of spend forecasting given customer specific trends • Actively participate in customer level assessment for ongoing retention activity • Work closely with Sales and Proposals teams to craft offers to pharmacy consultants, brokers, and clients which properly reflect SmithRx’s value • Engage pharmacy consultants and brokers to educate the market about SmithRx’s market trend expectations and how Smith manages to optimize client outcomes against trend • Various other ad hoc strategic projects aimed supporting SmithRx growth initiatives

Role Description As our Pharmacy Coordinator Ambulatory Clinic, you will be responsible for interfacing with all members of the ambulatory care team, pharmacies, payers, pharmacy benefit representatives and pharmaceutical industry medication assistance programs, in order to secure access to prescribed medications. - Responsible for medication prior authorizations. - Support ambulatory care pharmacy services with improving patient access to medications. - Field phone calls and schedule patient appointments. - Gather and record care plan notes and lab results. - Document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR). - Provide appointment reminders to patients and answer basic patient questions. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent customer service and communication skills, and have a passion for supporting patients in the delivery of their medications. This position is work from home within California. As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories. - Gather required information and prepare initial assessment based on providers’ prescribed medications for patients, including those that are unable to access or have a hardship to continue to access preferred medications. - Research and identify potential options for the patient to secure access which may include: - Prior authorization - Drug Assistance Program (DAP) application and enrollment - Copay discount cards or equivalent discount program - Foundation or grant funds available - Identify patients who require review by an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist. - Respond to provider, Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and patient self-referrals by meeting with patients to assess their medication needs and identify programs and resources to assist with ensuring access to the medication. - Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits (e.g. out-of-pocket, deductible and copay expenses) and serve as a liaison between the patient and the medication assistance programs/providers. - Manage the renewals of medications and eligibility of patient assistance programs including phone follow-up with patients, pharmaceutical companies and providers. - Work with medication manufacturers to compile/maintain up-to-date assistance program requirements. Qualifications - High School diploma or GED. - Demonstrable experience with Pharmaceutical/drug assistance programs. - Demonstrable experience in pharmacy/medical insurance coverage. - In lieu of the experience above, demonstrable related work experience in a retail pharmacy, healthcare clinic or hospital environment. - Excellent customer service. Role Description The Medication Pick-Up Coordinator (MPC), classified as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), is a centralized coordination role responsible for managing external facility medication pick-up arrangements for clients enrolled in Community Medical Services’ Opioid Treatment Programs. Operating from the CMS Call Center and reporting to the Call Center Site Director, the MPC serves as the primary point of contact between CMS clinics and external receiving facilities — including correctional facilities, residential treatment facilities (RTFs), and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). - Manage a dedicated email inbox - Oversee facility eligibility screening - Initiate and track Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) - Submit and monitor CSAT exception requests through the SAMHSA OTP Extranet - Maintain detailed tracking records for each facility and client The MPC/BHT does not perform clinical assessments, administer medications, or engage in any scope-of-practice functions requiring a nursing license.
