Role Description The IT Manager - Enterprise Systems is a key role responsible for managing our integration and application development teams. The primary focus is to manage and coordinate Finance and Accounting, Merchandising, and Product Development application configuration, development and support (ERP, Toolio, Centric, and related systems), application extension development, application and data integration, and analytics development. This role will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, with the ability to translate complex financial and merchandising requirements into technical roadmap specifications. Manages the implementations of key systems and reports on progress and adjustments to Technology leadership. This person will collaborate with IT leadership and provide input into the technology roadmap for Duluth Trading Company, ensuring solutions meet strategic and delivery expectations. What You’ll Do: - Contribute to the design/roadmap, acquisition, management, and implementation of applications/systems and infrastructure - Be part of the Duluth IT leadership team that drives solution delivery to support Duluth business - Ensure development team is meeting delivery expectations and following industry leading architecture principles - Lead a team of product owners, application analysts and engineers, data integration, analytics, and system extension developers - Partner with other IT leaders to advance overall IT maturity and best practice adoption - Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to shape vision and craft the roadmap for a specific product within DTC’s technology stack - Own, groom and facilitate refinement of the product backlog, using customer and business value to prioritize features - Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the business case for suggested enhancements and incorporate into scoping and prioritization - Define epics and user stories for the product backlog - Support technical and architectural roadmaps for the Finance and Accounting, Merchandising, and Product Development portfolios - Provide recommendations impacting the selection and use of information technology (e.g. platform, build/buy, integration, architecture specification) - Evaluate and analyze solutions from such perspectives as architecture, feasibility, and cost - Develop and mentor the team - Support the integrated technology roadmap aligned with business capabilities - Continuously evaluate and harness forward-looking design and development tools to position technology as a strategic asset and a key enabler for Duluth Trading Company - Identify and promote best practices, staying current on technological advances and making recommendations for tool/system usage to drive organizational growth & innovation and to maximize technology investment Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field - Equivalent work experience will be considered - 7+ Years of experience - Experience in a retail environment, including ERP, Merchandising and Product Development domains - Software application development experience with ability to provide mobile app development input - Experience implementing governance, SLAs and best practices in an enterprise systems environment - Extensive experience in delivering a services/API first strategy and implementing unified services/API platforms in the cloud - Experience with Agile processes and supporting tooling - The ability to lead a team through the high-pressure environment of "Peak Season" (e.g., Black Friday/Cyber Monday) where system stability is paramount - Hands-on experience leading design, development, and implementation of solutions in a retail environment - Experience leading, configuring, or heavily contributing to major ERP implementations, upgrades, or significant enhancements (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365) - Extensive experience with EDI, API integrations, and middleware that connect ERP systems to e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud), omnichannel and point-of-sale systems (e.g., Manhattan Active Omni) warehouse management systems (e.g., Manhattan Active WM) - Deep, foundational knowledge of core finance and accounting business processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), fixed assets, and financial close processes - Direct experience configuring and troubleshooting complex revenue recognition rules unique to multi-channel environments (e.g., handling retail returns, wholesale chargebacks, deferred revenue for e-commerce gift cards) - Experience delivering technology solutions for multi-currency consolidation, automated bank reconciliations, tax compliance (e.g., Avalara, Vertex), and internal financial auditing - Deep technical knowledge across IT domains: security, infrastructure, cloud, integration, database, analytics - Analytical, logical, and innovative - Understanding of existing enterprise and emerging systems - Strong business acumen to provide knowledge and counsel to internal IT and potential external collaboration partners -
