You will identify the best audience opportunities to drive growth across the Reach portfolio, ensuring content is packaged appropriately for the correct platform to drive high performance. You will manage social media channels for BristolLive, SomersetLive, GloucestershireLive, DevonLive, PlymouthLive, and CornwallLive. You will ensure others in the team follow the principles set out for driving maximum growth in key areas while continually identifying new areas of opportunity for our brands. You will curate newsletters and drive interest in them through a targeted distribution strategy, whilst helping to grow direct messaging channels. You will implement projects to grow registered users, finding new ways to promote content off-platform and connect with new readers. Who are we looking for? You have hands-on newsroom writing experience and a proven track record of growing and engaging audiences across social media and newsletters. You are a senior NCTJ/NQJ or equivalent qualified journalist, with up to date media law knowledge. You have a passion for digital storytelling and understand its vital impact on both local and national levels. You are an excellent communicator with exceptional time management skills, allowing you to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. We thrive on collaboration, so you are a natural team player who values collective success and open dialogue. You have a strong understanding of all current social media platforms (especially Facebook) and you are an evangelist for audience engagement.
