Job Description

Manager, Platform Cloud Architecture

Scratch Financial

• lead a team of Senior Engineers and Architects responsible for designing and implementing all cloud post-based deployments of storage, compute and software applications via automation for NBCUniversal O&T • overseeing development of automated deployment initiatives • integration of the post cloud platform with different cloud providers and existing on-prem services • research and test new SaaS offerings as defined by business needs

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years management experience preferred
  • Manage a team of engineers across geographical locations
  • Define technical cloud Post strategy and long-term roadmap for the platform
  • Lead automation initiatives for software and Cloud infrastructure deployments
  • Identify areas where automation can improve productivity and drive cost savings
  • Oversee cloud and contract budgets and participate in long range planning
  • Drive vendors to adopt cloud best practices for automated software deployment and resiliency using cloud native functions
  • Define projects to improve systems and procedures through meetings and written updates
  • Lead platform upgrade initiatives and develop L2 team to perform those tasks
  • Manage L3 escalations for all platform related incidents by communicating with vendors, clients, and other engineering teams to resolve issues and escalate to leadership as needed
  • Provide monthly reporting and oversee documentation of platform standards. Making sure the team meets all SLAs
  • Ability to work effectively with others across geographical locations
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and schedules
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adept at building relationships with all technical and operational areas across NBCU
