What You Will Be Doing: - Own and lead quality efforts for significant product areas or cross-team initiatives, defining and driving execution of comprehensive test strategies (functional, integration, performance, and system testing). - Support developers in large initiatives to "shift quality left"—ensuring they can run acceptance tests locally and sharing techniques to improve how developers test and validate their own changes. - Develop, execute, and maintain complex automated test scripts (using Python, Pytest, TypeScript, etc.) alongside the development team to enforce collective ownership of quality. - Participate actively in Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) and drive toward comprehensive solutions to prevent repeat incidents. - Plan and complete the Readiness Review testing sections for tasked initiatives, managing end-to-end acceptance and exploratory testing at the epic level. - Conduct complex debugging, including staging/production issue reproduction and root cause analysis, helping to troubleshoot issues even outside of your immediate team. - Partner with the Pillar Lead and Protectobot to identify and address technical gaps in test coverage, unblock framework issues, and implement AI-assisted testing efficiencies. - Mentor and coach QE 1s, QE 2s, and QE 3s, guiding them on advanced testing techniques, and act as a technical interviewer during hiring processes. - Evaluate risk vs. schedule, balancing comprehensive testing with rapid delivery timelines to optimize engineering velocity. - Collaborate with architects and development leads to ensure overall system testability and robustness. You have: - 6-8 years of experience in test planning, automation framework utilization, and Agile collaboration, with a reputation for tackling hard problems. - Advanced proficiency in automation tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, Pytest, Playwright, TypeScript, JavaScript). - Deep experience with diverse testing methodologies, including performance, security, integration, and exploratory testing. - Proven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable test automation solutions. - In-depth knowledge of CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and troubleshooting tools to support efficient release cycles. - Strong ability to identify when and how to escalate issues to ensure swift resolution. - Experience enabling development teams to manage their own testing and fostering a culture of collective quality ownership. - A collaborative, team-oriented mindset, displaying ownership of quality for epics and proactively identifying problems early. - Strong communication skills, thinking globally about customer needs and collaborating effectively across teams and hemispheres. - Proven ability to define and execute strategies for augmenting test coverage, strategically layering Unit Tests, Functional Tests, and Acceptance Tests across the full test automation pyramid. Bonus Points If You Have: - Practical experience leveraging Generative AI or LLMs in the software testing lifecycle to improve test efficiency. - Deep domain expertise in areas relevant to our pillars (e.g., Identity/Directory protocols, Authentication flows, MDM/Device Management, or Cloud Platforms). - Experience with API and web app UI test automation tools like Gherkin, Cypress, or similar. - Deep expertise in designing and implementing Go-based Unit Tests (UT) and leveraging functional testing (FT) frameworks to ensure robust component and service reliability. - Experience deploying, installing, and configuring applications on cloud-based servers (AWS experience is a plus). - Prior experience in dynamic, fast-paced startup environments. Role Description This position is expected to be various field assignments in the southern region of the United States. We do offer per diem for those that qualify. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrical Quality Specialist to join our Engineer’s Construction Management Team for heavy industrial construction projects. The Electrical Quality Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction contractors adhere to a high standard of quality through all phases of the project. This includes field engineering, construction execution, startup, and warranty phases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control in heavy industrial settings, specifically within the power generation sector. The Electrical QAQC Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the peak performance, reliability, and safety of our client's projects. - Quality Assurance Management: Review and oversee the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program for all project phases, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, design documents, and applicable codes and standards. - Contractor Audits: Conduct regular audits of contractor activities to verify conformity with design documents and project specifications. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement as necessary. - Document Control: Ensure that contractors are utilizing the latest revisions of design documents, maintaining accurate records of changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle. - Ensure the installed progress and work product are in line with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
