• The Director of Strategic Lending Solutions leads the development and management of mortgage products, identifying market opportunities and ensuring compliance with regulatory and investor requirements. • It drives product innovation, pricing, digital enhancements, and borrower experience improvements while serving as a subject matter expert for internal and external partners. • The role analyzes performance metrics to optimize products and supports strategic planning. • It also oversees post‑closing operations, sub-servicer performance, and MERS accuracy, ensuring strong operational execution through collaboration with cross‑functional teams. • Identify market gaps and opportunities; lead ideation, research, design, pricing, and feature development for new mortgage products or enhancements. • Ensure all products meet federal/state regulations, investor guidelines, and internal risk tolerances; partner with compliance teams to navigate changes in QM/ATR, fair lending, and agency requirements. • Track key metrics (e.g., origination volume, pull-through, profitability, investor execution, recapture rates); analyze performance and recommend iterative improvements. • Serve as the subject matter expert for internal teams and external partners (brokers, realtors, investors); present product updates to executive leadership and contribute to strategic planning. • Drive digital enhancements, automation, and borrower experience improvements in partnership with technology teams to increase efficiency and competitiveness. • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. • Oversees all post‑closing mortgage operations, manages the sub-servicer relationship, ensures accurate MERS reporting, and maintains compliance with all regulatory and investor requirements. • Leads staff, monitors QC and risk metrics, and delivers operational and performance reporting across the mortgage portfolio. • Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Secondary Marketing, Capital Markets, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, IT/Technology, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless product launches and lifecycle management. • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, economic indicators, and borrower behaviors to inform product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans. • Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, and EEO/AA/Fair Employment Practices. • All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in business, banking, finance, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operational management
- Highly organized and able to prioritize
- Professional and effective verbal and written communications
- Detail-oriented with strong data analysis skills
- Good working knowledge of mortgage loan processing and relevant legal regulations
- Ability to train, coach, and implement new processes
- Proficiency in MSOffice, Encompass, Simple Nexis and automated underwriting systems
