Product Owner
TrueComp
• Maintain a prioritized product backlog, including the authoring of user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria • Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure that the voice of the customer is reflected in product decisions • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in partnership with engineering leadership • Communicate sprint priorities, release goals, and roadmap commitments to stakeholders across the organization • Leverage AI tools, including Claude and comparable solution, to accelerate requirements development, prototype validation, user story creation, and discovery activities • Partner with Product Management and User Experience to ensure that delivered features meet both customer expectations and product strategy objectives • Collaborate effectively with engineering teams across multiple time zones, including TrueComp’s offshore engineering partners • Contribute to the broader product vision, strategy, and roadmap in coordination with product leadership
Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or comparable role within an agile software development environment
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT in day-to-day product work, including requirements drafting, prototyping, and discovery. Candidates should be prepared to discuss specific examples during the interview process
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex requirements clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with backlog and roadmap management tools such as Jira or Aha!
- Demonstrated ability to decompose ambiguous business problems into clearly scoped, deliverable increments of work
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams across the full software development lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree is a plus
- Experience supporting offshore or distributed engineering teams, preferred
- Experience in B2B SaaS, particularly at a high-growth organization, preferred
- Domain experience in human resources technology, compensation, workforce planning, or government technology, preferred
- Prior experience working with public sector customers, preferred.

What you'll do As the Staff Product Manager, Onboarding, you will own and optimize the critical first interactions that our users have with our products. You'll be responsible for creating a delightful and frictionless onboarding experience that empowers new customers to understand our products' value, get set up with Airwallex, whilst balancing with KYC initiatives to minimise risk of fraudulent users and bad actors on the platform. This role is based in Sydney Responsibilities: - Own the strategy for customer onboarding, mapping the ideal journey from discovery, to sign-up to product adoption - Utilize data and analytics to identify pain points, measure success, and drive continuous improvement of the onboarding flow - Design and implement A/B tests to improve the UX/UI and optimise the onboarding journey - Strike the right balance between a frictionless onboarding process and robust KYC controls to mitigate risk to Airwallex and our customers Who you are We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role.
