• Reports to the Lead Artist. • Works with the UI/UX Designer, develop the visual style of the user interface, produce target visuals alongside market research around the genre and themes. • Works with the design team to define the functionality and feature requirements for UI. • Works with UX to produce and integrate functional user interface with common rules and a clear hierarchy of elements using shapes, colour, fonts, line weight and fx. • Collaborates with the team from concept to completion, ensuring that the vision is maintained across the whole production process. • Helps to achieve milestone goals, estimate work, capture stories, sub-tasks and flag production risks. • Produces well thought-out and clear documentation to share your work and strategy/thinking. • Works closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth implementation, uphold the design vision and maintain quality throughout.

Job Requirements

  • Prior User Interface design experience on one or more shipped commercial project(s). Preferably a stylised game.
  • A keen eye for composition, clarity, and usability.
  • Current knowledge of UI prototyping to convey/interpret concepts and ideas.
  • Confident with Unity implementation.
  • Passionate, curious, motivated, and open to giving and receiving constructive criticism.
  • Has a fascinatingly broad palette of references and inspirations to draw from and educate us with.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Awareness of user interface patterns and design standards, ability to design for a casual and family audience.

This role focuses on defining the living world surrounding game arenas by building the terrain and vegetation systems that give each biome its identity. Key Responsibilities - Create and own terrain, foliage, and vegetation assets across multiple arena biomes through final in-engine integration. - Build and maintain biome asset libraries, including ground cover, trees, rocks, and atmospheric scatter designed for performance and reuse at scale. - Work with PCG and procedural systems to build efficient, artist-friendly workflows for populating and iterating on environments. - Partner with the Art Director and environment team to ensure each biome aligns with its visual brief, lighting conditions, and seasonal variants. - Establish material and shader standards for terrain and vegetation that hold across platforms and LOD ranges. - Contribute to outsource briefs and quality review for environment assets produced by external partners. Required Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of environment art experience on shipped AAA titles, with a focus on terrain and natural world content. Experience building artist-friendly asset systems that scale. Attention to the micro-details, such as the way gravel transitions to grass, how roots interact with soil, and why a forest floor has visual hierarchy. Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine 5, including Landscape tools, Nanite, Lumen, and PCG. Proficiency with vegetation tools such as SpeedTree or equivalent, with an understanding of how plants grow, layer, and respond to light. Role Description An Adaptive Artist is the bridge between design and production art, responsible for ensuring all work is built correctly from a technical standpoint while maintaining design integrity and consistency. To be successful in this position, you must possess an understanding of the design process and branding, and be able to maintain design intent while referencing a representative SKU in building out packaging shelf sets and multiple mediums/packaging forms. The Adaptive Artist is an active member of the cross-functional ops team, giving and receiving feedback and sharing ideas. Responsible for creating and adapting artwork to other structures or variants based off the instructions using Adobe Illustrator. Not just exclusive to adaptive projects, you will be responsible for converting and translating customer submitted artwork into a press compatible file. You will work within a production art environment and become flexible on creative design and production requests.
