• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the wind energy and related services sectors. • Build and maintain strong client relationships through in-person and virtual meetings. • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings. • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and service solutions. • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth strategy. • Travel extensively (100%) to visit clients, project sites, and attend industry events.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field preferred (wind industry experience is a plus).
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while traveling full-time
- Valid passport with the ability to travel throughout the North America
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Position Overview We are seeking a results-driven, customer-focused Senior SalesPro Onboarding Specialist responsible for driving customer adoption, accelerating time-to-value, and ensuring successful product launch and early-stage account health. This role blends structured project execution, consultative onboarding, and proactive risk management. The ideal candidate is confident leading client-facing conversations, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and holding customers accountable to timelines and outcomes. This is not a passive training role. This is an ownership role. You will serve as the quarterback of the onboarding experience - ensuring customers launch successfully, adopt effectively, and transition smoothly into long-term partnership. The Business Development Intern/Interns will be supporting the Global Business Development team with various project support tasks which may include: - Research on donors and potential implementing partners across iDE’s 12-country global portfolio which may include: - Identification of potential strategic partners for each country, considering their major sectors of operations. - Assessment and identification of new donors (new to iDE) that have potential for our work along with contacts. - identification and gathering of intelligence on the major implementing partners of iDEs top 10 strategic donors - Gathering of intel on funding opportunities for iDE across our top 10 strategic donors - Assessment of procurement mechanisms of iDE’s 10 top current/past donors and 10 new potential donors, including potential for unsolicited proposals and co creation - Support on live bids for grants and contracts - Support in the development of capacity statement materials across the global portfolio. - Analysis and written reports on iDE Country Offices programmatic strengths assessing each country 's programmatic engagement and their unique value proposition - Analysis of market conditions and competitive environment in non-iDE countries to inform geographic expansion strategy - Identify major global and country/regional platforms for iDE's engagement to increase visibility and position for significant business opportunities. - Other support as needed on research and analysis for business development efforts in existing iDE country programs
