Job Description - Bring your passion and feel the energy - Drive Strategic Impact in an ASX Leader - Be at the Forefront of Reporting Innovation We are currently seeking a meticulous and technically-minded Senior Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team. This is a high-visibility role where you will play a critical part in our statutory reporting cycles and act as the subject matter expert for Share Based Payments and Sustainability reporting. Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role: As a key member of the External Reporting team, you will ensure our financial narrative is accurate, compliant, and transparent. You won't just be "doing the books" you'll be providing technical advice on acquisitions, driving sustainability disclosures, and collaborating across the business to manage complex equity transactions. Key Responsibilities - Assist in the delivery of full-year, half-year, and quarterly financial reports, ensuring compliance with ASIC and ASX requirements. - Act as the lead for Share Based Payments, calculating entries for business units and preparing statutory tables for the Remuneration Report. - Prepare technical accounting papers to support key judgements, including those related to acquisitions and ad-hoc projects. - Maintain Group accounting policies in line with AASB standards and take ownership of the External Reporting intranet portal. - Support the preparation of climate-related financial disclosures (AASB S2) and ensure connectivity between climate assumptions and statutory statements. - Provide rigorous verification for investor presentations, results announcements, and sustainability reports. - Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process. Qualifications Now let's talk about you: You are a "self-starter" who thrives on detail. You enjoy the challenge of technical accounting and have the communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders. - CA or CPA qualification is essential. - 5-7 years of financial accounting or external audit experience (Big 4 background or large ASX-listed experience is highly preferred). - Strong familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards; exposure to upcoming Sustainability Reporting Standards is a major plus. - Advanced Excel skills and experience with General Ledger packages (SAP, BPC, or OneStream). Experience with ERP implementations is a bonus. - Proven ability to draft comprehensive accounting policy documents and technical memos.
