Job Description
Senior Research & Analytics Associate
Thrivable
Role Description Thrivable is a real-time healthcare market research platform helping patients, pharmaceutical companies, and medtech organizations develop better products, services, and experiences through fast, actionable patient insights. We're looking for a hands-on researcher who excels at the technical and creative process of pulling together patient survey data into coherent, compelling narratives. This role is about creating survey instruments and digging into the data to find the story that matters for our clients. This is not a “manage from a distance” role. We need someone who is willing to do the actual work — programming surveys, digging through messy data, reviewing transcripts, synthesizing findings, building decks, and delivering strategic recommendations. The right person is both intellectually sharp and execution-oriented. This role is ideal for someone coming from academic research, healthcare research, consulting, agency work, or a postdoctoral environment who wants broader ownership and faster-moving work. What You'll Do - Synthesize complex research data into clear, coherent, and visually compelling narratives for pharmaceutical and medtech clients. - Deliver research findings to clients with a focus on actionable insights, ensuring all data is translated into meaningful business implications. - Design and execute quantitative and qualitative healthcare research studies. - Program and troubleshoot surveys in Qualtrics. - Analyze quantitative data using Qualtrics analytics, SPSS, R, Python, or similar tools. - Apply statistical thinking to identify meaningful patterns, trends, and implications in complex datasets. - Conduct qualitative coding, synthesis, and insight development. - Translate findings into clear business, patient, and healthcare implications. - Build executive-level reports and presentations. - Present findings to clients and contribute to strategic discussions. - Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve research workflows while understanding their limitations, risks, and appropriate applications. - Support pharmaceutical, medtech, and broader healthcare research initiatives across therapeutic areas. Qualifications - Exceptional data storytelling skills, with the ability to turn survey results into a structured and persuasive narrative. - Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including research interview moderation. - Strong statistical analysis skills and comfort working directly with data. - Healthcare experience, education, or research background. - Experience presenting research findings directly to stakeholders or research sponsors. - Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, Python, SAS) to validate the data behind your insights. - Experience with Qualtrics survey programming and/or Qualtrics-based analytics strongly preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, especially PowerPoint/Slides and Excel/Sheets. - Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. - Comfort using AI tools to improve research efficiency and workflows, with strong judgment around data privacy, hallucinations, bias, source validation, and appropriate use cases. - Ability to work independently in a lean, high-accountability environment. - Willingness to be highly hands-on across all aspects of research execution. Requirements - Diabetes expertise or endocrinology experience. - Experience in healthcare market research, pharma, biotech, medtech, or agency environments. - Proven experience in a research-heavy role where you were responsible for the final delivery of insights and findings, bonus for this to be client facing consulting or agency role. - Mixed-method research experience. - Experience moderating interviews or conducting qualitative synthesis. - Familiarity with clinical development or clinical trial research. Education - Advanced degree preferred (PhD, MPH, MS, etc.), but we will absolutely consider candidates with a bachelor's degree and strong relevant experience. Benefits - Fully remote. - High ownership and visibility. - Opportunity to shape meaningful healthcare research. - Small, fast-moving, collaborative.
