As part of our labels indexing team, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our crop protection data is up to date and accurate. Our team specializes in understanding and capturing labels and safety data sheets (SDS) information into our database that powers the agriculture industry in North America. You'll work alongside experienced Technical Data Entry Indexers and Technical Data Entry Supervisors who are passionate about delivering exceptional results. Together, we're building the most comprehensive and powerful tool that allows agronomists to recommend compliant products within the myriad of regulatory requirements in North American agriculture. Your analytical expertise will have a direct impact into how agricultural products are viewed, recommended and used in the North American agricultural landscape. What you'll do: - Under the supervision of a Technical Data Entry Supervisor, understand, analyze, locate and enter appropriate data in the respective data fields with a high degree of accuracy. - Read source documents, such as pesticide/adjuvant/nutrient primary and supplemental labels and SDS (safety data sheets) and enter data in specific data fields on a database through a computer. - Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered. - Compare data with source documents. - Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to the Technical Data Entry Supervisor. - Maintain logs of activities and completed work. - Participate in other agricultural data entry and verification projects if necessary. - Support continuous improvement initiatives, help in training new personnel upon experience. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. - Read, write and comprehension of English language. - Proficient mathematical and analytical skills. - Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word (or Google equivalent programs) and Adobe Acrobat. - Detail and results orientated with high quality of work. - Ability to learn fast. - Good organizational and communication skills. - Good team player and at the same time ability to work independently. Requirements - Master's degree (great-to-haves). - Educational background in Agronomy, Biology, Chemistry, and/or a related field (great-to-haves). - Professional experience, preferably in a comparable position at an international organization (great-to-haves). - Knowledge of Spanish and/or French languages (great-to-haves). Ember publishes the best-in-class dataset on global electricity generation and the data team is growing as we expand our datasets to new areas such as installed renewable capacity, price, battery storage, grids and flexibility, EV and heat pump deployment. We are looking for someone to use their data and coding skills to ensure we can quickly gather and curate data from new sources, as well as helping to run, maintain and document existing data pipelines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn from a knowledgeable and passionate team of engineers and analysts while applying your development skills towards the clean energy transition.
