Job Description

Senior EDIFECS Developer

Conduent

• Lead EDIFECS configuration and development activities within a Medicaid healthcare EDI platform • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications • Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and system definitions • Apply recurring ECL releases (quarterly and annual) across multi-environment platforms • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on development initiatives • Participate in the full software development lifecycle • Develop technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements • Maintain, support, and document system functionality and configurations • Analyze system configurations and end-to-end transaction mappings • Maintain configuration management and version control within Azure DevOps • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced experience with EDIFECS in a healthcare clearinghouse or EDI platform environment
  • Strong understanding of ANSI X12N 5010 transaction sets
  • Experience with Linux, databases, ETL platforms, and reporting tools
  • Experience applying ECL releases and managing multi-environmental deployments
  • Knowledge of software architecture principles and implementation methodologies
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for version control and configuration management
  • Ability to identify gaps in system requirements and recommend effective solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 7+ years of total work experience
  • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing platform ownership responsibilities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions.
