Executive Business Partner to CFO – Startup, DTC & Operations

• Own and manage the CFO’s calendar, inbox, priorities, and follow-through across multiple workstreams, ensuring high-impact items are prioritized and executed. • Act as a true execution partner, bridging communication between leadership, vendors, legal, finance, operations, and external stakeholders. • Support business operations and strategic initiatives, helping drive accountability, tracking deliverables, and ensuring projects move forward. • Coordinate vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and support operational due diligence processes. • Assist with legal and compliance-related workflows, including contract coordination, documentation tracking, trademarks, patents, and other high-stakes processes. • Support financial operations by reviewing reports, tracking budgets, vendor pricing, invoices, and identifying inconsistencies or opportunities for optimization. • Build, maintain, and improve systems, SOPs, workflows, dashboards, and operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce executive overhead. • Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, automation tools, AI agents) to optimize workflows, documentation, and operational execution. • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, executive briefings, and maintain accountability around follow-ups and key action items. • Support exit readiness initiatives, data rooms, and confidential documentation processes as needed. • Coordinate travel, logistics, and ad hoc executive support requests in fast-changing environments.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting founders, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, or senior executives in startup, DTC, ecommerce, SaaS, or high-growth environments.
  • Strong experience with executive support fundamentals, including calendar management, inbox management, executive communications, and prioritization.
  • Experience in scaled DTC/ecommerce businesses (subscription business experience is highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as an Executive Business Partner, not solely an administrative assistant.
  • Strong exposure to financial processes, including budgeting, reporting, expense tracking, vendor pricing analysis, and ability to interpret P&Ls or financial data.
  • Experience working with legal/compliance processes, including contracts, trademarks, patents, documentation, or regulated business environments.
  • Familiarity with EOS / Traction methodologies (Level 10s, Rocks, Scorecards) is highly preferred.
  • Highly AI-native; daily use of tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, AI agents, or automation platforms to improve workflows and execution.
  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, QuickBooks, CRM systems, project management platforms, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and process optimization skills.
  • Comfortable working in high-growth, ambiguous, fast-changing environments with shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, discretion, ownership, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Availability to overlap with US Mountain Time hours (within 3 hours preferred).
