Team Lead Finance & Controlling
JAKALA
• You are responsible for the entire finance function of JAKALA Germany, including accounting, controlling, forecasting, cash management, reporting and compliance. • You ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP) and reporting to the international group. • You develop transparent, robust financial management including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and variance analysis in collaboration with the central finance team at the headquarters in Italy. • You produce meaningful financial reports, analyses and financial models as a basis for strategic and operational decisions. • You act as a sparring partner for management on financial matters relating to pricing, investments, profitability, cost structures and growth initiatives. • You identify financial risks, establish effective internal controls and ensure compliance with legal, tax and group-wide requirements. • You optimize and harmonize existing finance processes and systems, particularly in the post-merger phase and in coordination with HQ. • You drive efficiency, scalability and automation within the finance organization, including the deployment of modern tools and AI. • You work closely with international finance teams to implement group-wide standards and processes. • You manage relationships with external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, banks, investors and authorities. • You lead, develop and further build a high-performing finance team both technically and strategically.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in finance (ideally 8–10+ years), including initial leadership responsibility.
- Solid knowledge of accounting (HGB), controlling and financial planning.
- Experience in growth-driven, project-based or consulting-adjacent organizations (e.g., agency, consulting, tech, SaaS).
- Confident use of DATEV as well as SAP; ideally experience with SAP implementation.
- Strong commercial mindset, understanding of business contexts and the ability to translate numbers into clear recommendations for action.
- Strategic foresight and a hands-on mentality, with willingness to pragmatically resolve operational issues.
- Experience building and developing finance structures and teams.
- Data-driven working style and a strong affinity for systems, tools and automation.
- Clear and persuasive communication at all levels (team, management, international stakeholders) in German and English.
