What we look for This opportunity is a good fit for electrical engineers with an experience in python open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideally, contributors will have:  - Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, e.g. Electronics, Microelectronics, Embedded Systems, Power Systems, etc. - 3+ years of professional electrical engineering experience - Strong written English (C1/C2) • Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation - Stable internet connection  Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EUR ING, RPEQ) and experience in international or applied projects are an advantage. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active. Payment - Paid contributions, with rates up to $55/hour*  - Fixed project rate or individual rates, depending on the project - Some projects include incentive payments *Note: Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. • Provide technical support on various engineering ship design projects • Review and analyze preliminary and functional design documentation of shipboard electrical, marine, control, and alarm and monitoring systems • Perform contractual specification write-up and review/research regulatory rules and commercial standards • Develop and oversee deliverables, QA, root cause failures, and risk assessment for electrical system on Navy Vessels • Write-up technical reports on electrical system assessment on Navy vessels • Familiar with commercial standards (e.g., ABS MVR, ABS NVR) • Perform engineering site visits and shipchecks at various Navy and Commercial Shipyards • Perform electrical feasibility and trade-off studies for selection of generators, motors, variable frequency drives, transformers, UPS, control panels, cables, timers, circuit breakers, power panels, batteries, relays, etc. • Collaborate with other QA/review engineering mid-level, senior, and expert staff and generate final electrical technical products (e.g. Contract Deliverables, reports, etc.)

• Develop and deliver engaging training modules focused on integrating AI into electrical engineering frameworks. • Collaborate closely with engineering and AI teams to design practical, real-world scenarios for learning. • Evaluate and improve AI-driven electrical engineering solutions through testing, feedback, and iteration. • Mentor and guide team members in upskilling, promoting a culture of continuous learning. • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible materials for diverse audiences. • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and electrical engineering to inform training content. • Foster effective written and verbal communication within the team, ensuring knowledge transfer and engagement.

• Support the full life cycle of flight electronics design, analysis, manufacture, and test, as a member of the Electrical Engineering team. • Lead individual subsystem design and project efforts while coordinating with relevant cross-functional stakeholders. • Perform electrical design, including schematic, parts selection and layout, for spacecraft electronics subsystems (e.g. avionics, solar arrays, batteries, payloads, subsystems and harnessing). • Perform analysis to demonstrate performance, survivability and optimization of electrical designs. • Maintain sourcing strategy for new and existing electronic components. • Contribute to the maintenance of configuration control, drawing release and component libraries. • Perform other professional duties as assigned.
