Role Description In this role, you will work closely with a team of 8-15 people who are responsible for enhancing, evolving, and supporting a large highly-available Electricity Market Management System (MMS). The team includes power systems, database, software, and optimization engineers. As a staff Database developer, you will contribute and lead advanced development in MMS Application software design, development, testing, integration, and tuning to meet project and/or product commitments. Projects’ main deliverable is an overall customized system that’s based on GE’s next generation Market System, a cloud-based solution that hosts multi-state wholesale energy markets. End user customers are Electric Utilities, Independent System Operators (ISOs), and Transmission System Operators (TSOs). These markets are key to decarbonizing our power system by ensuring reliability while allowing increasing penetration of Solar, Wind, and Storage technologies. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) from an accredited university or college. - A minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in Oracle development in an on-prem or cloud-based enterprise environment. Requirements - Oracle 19c or higher. - Experience programming with PL/SQL (min 6 years). - Experience with advanced PL/SQL features including advanced queues, triggers, types, functions, reference cursors, pipeline functions, subquery factoring clauses. - Experience with built-in Oracle packages such as DBMS_SCHEDULER. - Experience with both ANSI and Oracle join syntax. - Understanding of programming changes needed for RAC vs non-RAC implementations. - Ability to diagnose and remediate SQL performance issues. - Ability to translate requirements into functional designs. - Ability to implement code solutions from functional designs. - Ability to work independently as well as with a remote team. - Experience with Source Code tools such as GIT, TFS. Role Description Performs data entry, calculating, posting and verifying figures related to the payment of vendor invoices. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. - Maintains invoice, purchase order, and receiver reconciliations. - Matches invoices with receivers and compares to purchase orders within SAP and OpenText. - Processes invoices for payment by entering data in the computer, checking for mathematical accuracy, taxes that may apply, taking advantage of applicable discounts and scheduling payment in accordance with the purchase order terms. - Answers vendor, employee or buyer inquiries, as necessary. - Contacts personnel in Purchasing Departments to obtain necessary information to correct discrepancies. - Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System. - Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures. - Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations. - Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures. - Other duties as requested.
