Role Description Thunder Funding is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive our business growth. If you’re passionate about sales and excited by the opportunity to make an impact, this is your chance to join an energetic and motivated team! - Identify and pursue new lead sources to drive business growth. - Follow up on existing leads and prospects to nurture relationships. - Engage with prospective clients daily via phone, email, text, and in person. - Provide prompt and effective follow-up on all inquiries and lead communications. - Collect and document relevant information from prospective clients. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data within the company’s CRM system. - Evaluate accounts receivable and aging data to recommend suitable factoring options when applicable. - Maintain a competitive advantage throughout the sales process. - Negotiate pricing in accordance with company guidelines. - Work closely with sales management to adjust pricing and programs to close deals. - Prepare, send, and manage Factoring Services Agreements (FSAs) with potential clients. - Address any questions regarding pricing, services, and contract terms. - Collect, verify, and securely store required documentation from prospective clients. - Assess the company’s potential for winning new transactions. - Submit signed FSAs and initial invoices to the Documentation and Compliance team. - Track all sales opportunities through the CRM system from start to finish. - Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services, ensuring accurate information is provided to clients and referral sources. - Assist with client inquiries and address their needs as they arise. - Stay current on industry trends, including trucking industry updates, competitor activities, and evolving sales techniques. Qualifications - Education: Associate degree required, or equivalent combination of skills and experience. - Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct sales experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related field. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Knowledge of factoring or the transportation industry is a plus, but not required. - Previous experience using Salesforce CRM is a plus.
