Role Description The objective is to produce a comprehensive mapping of diaspora associations, individuals, and diaspora organizations in at least ten EU Member States to strengthen diaspora-led climate action across four South Asian countries. - Determine the final selection of at least 10 EU Member States based on diaspora concentration and diversity. - Develop a light-touch diaspora mapping database covering all EU Member States. - Conduct in-depth mapping for ten selected EU countries, including stakeholder outreach and identification of engagement opportunities. - Hire, manage, and mentor national consultants in South Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka). - Conduct consultations with key stakeholders, including IOM Country Offices, embassies, government diaspora focal points, and EU-based diaspora associations. - Develop and deliver a comprehensive diaspora mapping database using a light-touch approach. - Conduct qualitative interviews and surveys to capture diaspora perspectives on climate engagement. - Prepare a comprehensive diaspora mapping database with verified lists of diaspora associations and engagement potential. - Develop a detailed inception report and draft analytical report responding to the research questions. - Produce the final consolidated report and present key findings to project stakeholders. Qualifications - Experience in diaspora engagement and climate action. - Strong analytical and research skills. - Proven ability to manage and mentor teams. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. - Familiarity with EU Member States and diaspora dynamics. Requirements - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Proficiency in relevant research methodologies. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. - Fluency in English; knowledge of South Asian languages is an asset.
