Role Description CHG Digital is looking for a Technical Data Steward to temporarily join our Data Governance team. Data Governance helps ensure that high-quality data is available to all the right people by implementing, auditing, and enforcing data standards. As a Technical Data Steward on the Data Governance team, you will collaborate with engineering and product teams to establish and enforce data standards, implement data quality metrics, and actively seek out and remedy data problems. This role will report to Manager I – Technical Data Stewards. - Be the technical mind behind the Data Governance organization over a specific data domain. - Ability to align multiple business units and Engineering teams to identify critical data elements and prioritize and create preventive solutions. - Responsible for ensuring the quality of the organization’s data assets, definitions, and being a guide in the data structure. - Communicate the value of maintaining data standards to ensure that end-users have a practical understanding of the importance of data quality. - Responsible for creating and maintaining a data dictionary that includes definitions and behavioral standards. - Ensures that data decisions are thinking of downstream technical impacts and to business processes. Qualifications - Ability to interact with people in a way that is consistent with CHG’s core values. - Experience developing and engaging cross-functional teams. - Ability to collaborate with IT professionals, senior leadership, business leaders, and stakeholders to deliver results. - Strong interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to understand business needs and utilize data to support decision-making process. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Data Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience. - Strong SQL experience, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server. - Experience with data modeling, database design, data architecture, and/or data quality standards. - Experience with a formal data governance program preferred. - Experience with Neo4j Graph Databases preferred.
