• Own the investigation lifecycle; take a signal from definition through root-cause analysis to a written recommendation • Connect data and context; frame the right questions with analytics and understand the full picture with carrier partner teams • Independently analyze each opportunity’s revenue impact, root cause, urgency • Produce intelligence artifacts; document the problem, why it's happening, what we should do, and what it's worth • Partner with the product team; translate findings into clearly prioritized opportunities for product managers to act on them

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years in payment analysis, payment operations, or financial reconciliation ideally at a payments company, SaaS platform, or fintech
  • Payments-fluent; know what an ACH return code means, why a reconciliation breaks, how retry logic works, and what a chargeback lifecycle looks like
  • Investigative by nature; dig into discrepancies and trace issues across complex, multi-party payment flows
  • Clear communicator; comfortable owning external relationships with partner’s finance teams and coordinating across internal stakeholders
  • Process-minded; see manual work and immediately think about how to systematize and document it
  • Self-directed; thrive with ownership and autonomy; manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
