• Edit short-form videos for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms. • Transform raw footage into engaging, high-quality content while maintaining the creator’s authentic brand voice. • Repurpose existing footage into additional short-form content opportunities. • Apply clean and minimal editing techniques, including cuts, pacing adjustments, zoom effects, captions, and basic audio enhancements. • Organise and manage video assets, footage libraries, and project files efficiently. • Collaborate with the founder to execute content ideas, scripts, and creative briefs. • Identify visually compelling moments within footage that can be developed into standalone content pieces. • Support content scheduling by ensuring videos are edited and delivered according to planned timelines. • Recommend improvements to video performance based on platform trends, audience engagement, and content insights. • Source and incorporate appropriate royalty-free music that aligns with the tone and style of the content. • Maintain a consistent visual style that prioritises authenticity, craftsmanship, and storytelling over excessive effects or animations.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in video editing for social media and digital content.
- Strong portfolio showcasing short-form video content and storytelling capabilities.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media content formats, audience retention, and platform-specific best practices.
- Ability to create engaging content without relying on excessive graphics, animations, AI-generated effects, or overly stylised editing.
- Experience working with creator-led brands, personal brands, educational content, or lifestyle content is highly regarded.
- Strong eye for visual storytelling, shot selection, pacing, and content flow.
- Ability to identify content opportunities from existing footage and proactively suggest new content ideas.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the founder on creative direction.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple editing projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to contribute ideas that improve content performance and consistency.
