We’re looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer to drive quality strategy and execution across Proof’s platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across our products. This role focuses on solving complex, high-impact quality challenges, shaping testing architecture and automation strategy, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver high-confidence releases that support mission-critical digital transactions. What you will do as a Senior Software QA Engineer: Lead test strategy, planning, and execution across new features, enhancements, and platform releases Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks to improve reliability, coverage, and release velocity Partner cross-functionally with developers, product managers, designers, and infrastructure teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, providing QA insights during sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews Own regression testing strategy and release validation across environments and deployments Validate backward compatibility and ensure consistent functionality across versions and production configurations Ensure browser and device compatibility across supported environments Evaluate system integrations and complex customer workflows across interacting product features Perform performance, scale, load, and security testing to identify risks and bottlenecks Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable releases Triage defects, manage bug tracking, and partner with engineering to drive timely resolution Define and monitor quality metrics, providing visibility into product health and release readiness Provide mentorship, establish testing best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement What we're looking for: Strong expertise in software quality engineering, including test strategy, automation, and release validation Deep experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks using modern tools Experience validating complex distributed systems, integrations, and customer workflows Demonstrated ability to drive quality initiatives across the full software development lifecycle Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration Ability to work autonomously in complex problem spaces while partnering effectively across teams Proven experience identifying systemic quality risks and driving scalable solutions Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills Ownership mindset with accountability for product quality from design through release and ongoing iteration Passion for continuous improvement, experimentation, and raising engineering quality standards Our tech: Testing Frameworks & Automation WebdriverIO, Playwright, Appium, Jasmine, TypeScript, Node.js Infrastructure & Cloud AWS (including S3 and ADX), Azure Kusto, Kubernetes, Jenkins Testing & Observability Tools BrowserStack, Metabase, Sentry, LaunchDarkly Data & APIs GraphQL and REST Our Proof Pillars: Proof has a strong focus on mentorship, with regular 1:1s, reviews, and check-ins to ensure that you are learning & growing as an engineer.
